The Kansas planning guidance is meant to be all- encompassing emergency planning guidance for local governments. Currently available to the public, are the Kansas Planning standards. NetEOP is also available for local government planning.

Kansas Planning Standards(KPS)-The Kansas Planning Standards is intended to be an all-encompassing guide to review or redevelop Local Emergency Operations Plans (LEOPs). It includes the planning requirements from the National Response Team (NRT-1A), the Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NUREF 0654), and the most recent suggested considerations from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA's SLG-101, and the Emergency Planning Job Redesign, March 1996).
