To ensure emergency planning is as accurate, comprehensive, and
effective as possible JCEMHS is continually updating its list of
emergency planning references. While not extensive, the references
listed in the links below provide a good foundation for emergency
planning.
Planning Matrix- This matrix will provide local
governments in Johnson County, Kansas guidance on local planning
requirements. Located on this page, the 2005 LEOP Components, KDEM
suggested Text, KDEM Planning Standards, Kansas Response Plan, and the
National Response Framework.
County-Johnson
County Emergency Management & Homeland Security emergency management
plans are written to consider all relevant hazards identified in the
Johnson County Hazard Analysis and to address the four phases of
emergency preparedness. Emergency plans developed by Johnson County
include the County Emergency Operations Plan, Hazard Mitigation Plan,
and the Debri Management Plan.
State- The Kansas
planning guidance is meant to be all- encompassing planning guidance for local governments.
Currently available to the public, are the Kansas Planning standards. NetEOP is also available for local government planning.
Federal- JCEMHS always considers
plans and
planning guidance from the federal government. Some of the documents
referenced include CPG 101, National Response Framework, National
Incident Management System, etc.
Regional- Working with local governments,
emergency services agencies and committees, the MEMC planning comittee
coordinates the preparation of a number of regional emergency plans.
Many of these
plans are available on the Mid-America Regional Councils Web-site.
Other- JCEMHS continually references planning
documents and guidance developed by different emergency response
entities. A list of the documents will be available upon review from
JCEMHS Planning.
