As part of Severe Weather Awareness Week 2012 (March 12-16), Johnson County will be participating in the annual state-wide tornado drill on Tuesday, March 13th at 1:30pm in conjunction with the National Weather Service and the State of Kansas. At 1:30pm, the NWS will activate NOAA All-hazard weather radios and Johnson County will activate the outdoor warning sirens. All Johnson Countians are encouraged to use this time to test their tornado safety procedures. Additional information on SWAW is provided by the State of Kansas and the National Weather Service.
